Arouyang Access Road and Maokong

Taipei 101 is omnipresent in Taipei

Last Sunday, we took a shorter ride via Shenkeng and Arouyang Access Road across the mountain down to Muzha. After crossing the ridge and coming down the first steep slope and passing the path up to Erge Mountain, we took a left by the bridge and returned via Maokong rather than going straight down to Muzha. Didn't have time to stop for a tea this time, but there are many good tea houses here. As we got closer to the cable car station, the crowds of weekend tea drinkers got bigger and bigger and we almost had to get off the bikes sometimes not to run people down. A short ride. We left Taipei 7.30am and were having brunch at Carnegies by 10.45am. Back home again, we had clocked up 40km.

Facts A description of the route in an earlier post can be found here.
