If no biking, then snowboarding

Me on the snowboard

Learning to snowboard

With the crappy weather over the Lunar New Year, we were lucky to get an invitation to spend a couple days at a ski resort in South Korea, Yongpyong almost on the east coast, so we decided that if you can't go biking, then why not go snowboarding, like biking on snow. That was about the most fun we've had in a long time.

D and her snowboard

One morning at 9am, it was 22 C below zero.

And the weather was great. Cold, droppping as low as 22 C below zero, no wind, bright sun and not a cloud in the sky. In short, winter as it should be.

N getting the hang of it

N getting the hang of it, or at least managing to not topple over

Now we're just waiting for the rain to let up, but if it doesn't, we'll just start ignoring it and go biking anyway.

Facts Be careful: I couldn't sit properly for several days due to a sore butt from falling over so often. But it was worth it. Be careful 2: With the Korean food and shaojiu, which tastes exactly like a good but weak vodka, I put on a couple kilos in a week. That was worth it, too.
